It’s Easy Being Green: A Photo Challenge

Psychologists tell us that green is a passive colour; and advertisers use green when they need to create a sense of calm and acceptance – as if green was a single, quantum hue.

But those of us who live on the Rain Coast know better.

On our walks through the forest (like mine a few days ago in the photo) and along the beaches, with a mindful eye we see hundreds of greens. Some are bright and energizing; others are calming; while others loom and threaten.

If you have images of green, send them to us. They can be photos, paintings, anything. Click the Create menu item at the top of the page to tell us what you’d like to appear. Or, you can e-mail submissions to coastindependent@gmail.com

All contributions to Coast Independent are the sole property of the author/contributor, and a statement to that effect appears at the bottom of every page.
